Dioxin Analysis
Dioxins, consisting of a group of toxic compounds; as follows.
- polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins (PCDDs)
- polychlorinated dibenzofurans (PCDFs)
- polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs)
Although there are many PCDDs, PCDFs and PCBs, only those with chlorine in positions 2, 3, 7 and 8 are toxic.
Dioxins can be mixed with nature from many sources such as industrial activities, waste incineration, burning of fuels such as wood, coal, cigarette smoke, exhaust fumes.
Mixing dioxins into nature means mixing with water and soil, that is, mixing with food. Dioxin is toxic. For this reason, it causes cancer, reproductive problems and immune system problems on human health. "Dioxin Analysis" in foods is therefore an important test parameter.
