Additives are used to store foodstuffs for a long time and to preserve their physical properties. The use of food additives has both advantages and disadvantages. While the use of some food additives is prohibited, some are restricted by daily use limits. “Benzoyl Peroxide and Potassium Bromate” additives are also additives used in bakery products.

General purposes of use:
  • Flour bleaching
  • Increasing fermentation in fermented and fermented products
  • Increasing product volume

The use of E928 (benzoyl peroxide) and E924 (potassium bromate) additives are among the prohibited additives within the scope of the Food Additives Regulation. E928 (benzoyl peroxide) and E924 (potassium bromate) are banned because they have been found to have carcinogenic effects.
