Biocidal Product Type 2 Analyzes

Product type 2 includes disinfectants and algaecides intended for direct application to humans or animals. Apart from these:

- Used for disinfection of surfaces, materials, equipment and furniture that are not used for direct contact with food or feedstuffs
- Usage areas such as swimming pools, aquariums, bathrooms and other waters; used for air conditioning systems and walls and floors in private, public and industrial spaces and other areas for professional activities
- Used for disinfection of air, water not used for human or animal consumption, chemical toilets, wastewater, hospital waste and soil
- Used as algaecides in the treatment of swimming pools, aquariums and other water and in the improvement of building materials
- Incorporated into textiles, tissue paper, masks, paints and other articles or materials to produce processed products with disinfectant properties

Products included in Product Type 2 as disinfectants and algaecides must at least be sufficiently effective against bacteria and yeasts for general applications, especially in the medical sector. Products intended to disinfect surfaces that are likely to be contacted and contaminated should be tested for a maximum of 5 minutes.

Within the scope of relevant regulations, regulations and standards, the effectiveness, stability, microbiological load of biocidal products within the scope of Product Type 2 are determined by analysis and tests.
