Energy drinks, which are defined as flavored non-alcoholic beverages containing caffeine, containing taurine, glucuronolactone, inositol, carbohydrates, amino acids, vitamins, minerals and other food and components, are among the most preferred daily beverages.Like all food and beverage items, energy drinks must be produced in accordance with the conditions determined by a specific regulation. Especially in terms of the stimuli it contains, it must comply with the limits specified in the "Turkish Food Codex Communiqué on Energy Drinks".
Within the scope of the regulation; Caffeine: 150 mg/L, inositol: 100 mg/L, Glucuronolactone: 20 mg/L, Taurine: 800 mg/L.
Whether an energy drink is produced in accordance with the regulation also depends on the test results to be carried out in authorized laboratories. For this reason, “Energy Drink Analysis” is carried out in accredited laboratories.
